Lakeville, Minnesota, home to two BTD locations, stands out as an excellent community to play, eat, shop and raise a family. South of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Lakeville offers all the advantages of a metropolitan area while still maintaining the friendliness and comforts of a small town. Lakeville was even ranked as the number four best place to raise a family in the United States by Frommer’s.
Visitors and residents of Lakeville will find no shortage of activities both within the community and nearby. Downtown is home to many local restaurants, coffee shops and stores offering clothing, jewelry, hardware and more. In addition, the Mall of America, Minnesota Zoo, Mystic Lake Casino and Valley Fair are only minutes away. Outdoor enthusiasts will also be excited about what Lakeville has to offer. There are five lakes with three public beaches and two public boat launches nearby, as well as 47 parks with 25 miles of walking and biking trails and 10 golf courses within 20 minutes.
Lakeville is also home to many annual events. For food enthusiasts, Taste of Lakeville offers the chance to sample the many culinary treats the city has to offer. Families can get in on some snowy fun during the Winter Ritter Fest at Ritter Farm Park. Winter activities such as snowmobile rides, dogsled rides, snowshoeing and crafts are offered throughout the festival. Lakeville’s biggest event, Pan-o-Prog, or Panorama of Progress, celebrates the growth and development of the Lakeville community. The eight-day festival hosts many activities and events including fireworks, parades, music, food vendors and the Miss Lakeville Pageant.
